Paul Hackney

Paul Hackney Curator of Botany in the Ulster Museum, Belfast. Paul Hackney was born in Manchester in 1945 and educated there and at the University of Leeds where he studied botany and chemistry. After working for a period in Liverpool Museum he came to Belfast in the late 1960s to take up the position of Curator of Botany at the Ulster Museum. Apart from field botany his interests include transport, history, restoring old houses and Indian religions. He and his wife live in a Victorian farmhouse in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
