Paul Freier (born 26 July 1979 in Bytom as Sławomir Paweł Freier) is a Silesian, Polish-born German football player who currently plays as a midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen, usually employed on the right wing. Freier will move back to VfL Bochum at the end of the 07–08 season, whom agreed a 5-year contract.[1]
Freier started his career with his VfL Bochum and played there for several seasons before moving to Leverkusen in 2004.
He is a member of the German national team and was called up as a backup squad member in the 2006 World Cup.
