Paul Francis Anderson

Paul Francis Anderson (1917–1987) was a U.S. bishop. He was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Duluth, Minnesota between 1969 until 1982 when he was appointed to be the Auxiliary Bishop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Anderson was born in Roslindale, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts on April 20, 1917. He was ordained a priest on January 6, 1943. On July 19, 1968, Anderson was appointed the coadjutor bishop of Duluth. On October 17, 1968, Anderson was ordained a titular bishop. On April 30, 1969, Anderson succeeded as bishop of Duluth.
On August 17, 1982, Anderson resigned as bishop of Duluth. On August 17, 1982, Anderson was appointed as auxiliary bishop of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
January 4, 1987, Anderson died as Bishop Emeritus of the Duluth.
