Paul Ellender (born 21 November 1974 in Scunthorpe) is an English professional footballer currently playing Central Defender for Boston. He is Boston's Club Skipper and joined Boston in 2001 from Scarborough for £80,000, a Club Record fee. He joined Scunthorpe from school in 1993 but never made a first team appearance so joined Gainsborough in 1994. He joined Altrincham in 1998 and then joined Scarborough in 1999. Ellender played on a loan spell at Chester in 2006 and he is very popular with the Boston fans due to his 100% commitment and uncompromising style. In May 2008, the Ellender era ended at Boston United, when he signed for Alfreton Town. All Boston United fans wish him well in the future and thank him for 7 great years.
