Paul Bunyan State Trail

The Paul Bunyan State Trail is a multi-use, recreational rail trail in northern Minnesota.

The former Northern Pacific Railway depot in Nisswa now serves as a historical museum.  The railroad right-of-way is now the Paul Bunyan Trail.

It was part of the Burlington Northern rail lines abandoned in 1983. It covers a distance of 100 miles the first 50 of them are paved. [1] It connects 16 communities between Baxter and Lake Bemidji State Park near Bemidji. Paul Bunyan is a mythical/legendary logger.
