Paul Benden

Paul Benden is a fictional character in Anne McCaffrey's Chronicles of Pern. During the Nathi Wars he was renowned for commanding the fleet, staying awake to command for 72 hours. Paul Benden renounced his title as Admiral Paul Benden at the same time as Govenor Emily Boll. Paul's wife was Ju Benden (née Adjai) and he was close friends with Zu Ongola. Admiral Paul Benden was essential to creating of the Pern colony, commanding the journey there, and bringing about the Dragons.
