Paul Anthony Dy Artadi is a professional Filipino basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra Kings (wearing jersey no. 16) in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Artadi was born on May 5, 1981 in the University of Santo Tomas Hospital in Manila but grew in San Juan, Metro Manila. He was known for his fast-paced, run-gun action inside the court that gave him the trademark "The Kid Lightning". He was drafted by Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants, alongside with friend, teammate from UE Red Warriors, James Yap, in the 2004 PBA Draft.

[edit] About the Player

Why another point guard when the team is already full in that position? Maybe Uichico saw something in Artadi which he thinks will be a key element in their campaign this year. A second round pick by Purefoods in 2004, the former UE Red Warrior will add quickness to the backcourt of the Kings and Uichico feels that his style of play fits the team to a T.

The 26-year old speedster most of the time played backup to Roger Yap with the Giants, playing in 38 games last season with five starts while averaging 4.6 points and 2.7 assists. His 1.3 steals per game was No. 5 in the league. But with Ginebra, the 5-9 Artadi will have to compete for playing time with Macky Escalona and Johnny Abarrientos as the chief reliever of Jayjay Helterbrand.
