Tra Thomas
Apparently William Thomas (offensive tackle) has changed his name back to Tra Thomas. Can you move the page?►Chris NelsonHolla! 13:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- What is up with Eagles and changing names? Tra Thomas, William Thomas, Tra Thomas. Juqua Thomas, Juqua Parker. William Peterson, William James. Pats1 T/C 23:11, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
-
- You should totally make a Seinfeld-related joke about Andy Reid changing his name right now. PFT didn't do that. Oh wait...nevermind.►Chris NelsonHolla! 23:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

- Hey, you moved it to Tra Thomas (offensive tackle). As far as I know, there's no other Tra Thomas, can you move it to just Tra Thomas. Right now it redirects to the current page anyway.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:27, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Help
I really need your help in an ongoing dispute. Can you get on AIM sometime?►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:14, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Falcons colors
Can you change the Falcons' colors Template:NFLAltPrimaryColor to black and Template:NFLAltSecondaryColor to white? This way the infobox backgorund colors will alternate red and black with white text throughout. I hate that all those templates have been locked.►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:50, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
-
- There should be no red on black because it's hard on the eyes. Make the alternate colors black (background) on white (text). This covers all the falcons colors and looks best. It'd be like Vince Young or Brady Quinn essentially.►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:58, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Don't Template the Regulars
You should know that by now. Helixweb (talk) 05:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I must have missed that rule, because it doesn't exist. There is no such thing as a "regular" on Wikipedia - all members are to be treated equally, assuming they know what the rules and policies are. In this case, you did. Just because you've been here for three months doesn't mean you aren't exempt from warnings. Pats1 T/C 11:12, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Never said it was a rule, but seems to be a generally accepted act of politeness. You are right however, you have no obligation to be polite, particularly it seems to people who disagree with you. As said below, I'm removing myself from the subject, no point in arguing with an admin who has little regard for politeness or policy, little can be gained from such an endeavor.Helixweb (talk) 12:16, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Bill Belichick
I'm going to remove myself from the subject, with the hope that you do the same. Helixweb (talk) 12:11, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Active Player Search
Have you noticed that the new link you had posted on my talk page a while back isn't working anymore?►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

South Park and Belichick
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I've read over the history and talk pages for Belichick's article and the spygate article. After considering the relevance and weight of all the information present, I reincluded information about South Park in both articles. If you would like to continue to contend that South Park isn't notable enough to be worth mentioning, please discuss this on the appropriate talk pages before wholesale removal of the edits. Thanks. Keep up the good work. mroconnell (talk) 07:37, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- User:Pats1 has not deleted any info on it since I added it to the Media and entertainment section of the article a few days ago. I've deleted your mention of it in the Illegal sideline videotaping section because it was already mentioned elsewhere in a more suitable place. It doesn't need to be in the Spygate section itself because it has no real importance in the event. It's only notability is as a pop culture reference, hence the current location. This should be sufficient.►Chris NelsonHolla! 07:42, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Consistency v. utility
hmm -- I've usually limited the draft intro paragraph to any trade details which don't directly affect the current picks - such as conditional trades or picks traded for and then traded away; similarly, I've used direct footnotes for the picks that were acquired via trade, and then described the exact conditions of the trade in a strict formula - see the 1996-present seasons)
As I've pointed out before, just because you decided something, and then applied it to previous pages, does not make it a de facto standard (even if you're an admin and I'm not). Samer (talk) 13:58, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
A proposal
Let's face it--the problem is that we both have strong opinions, and there's exactly two of us who seem to care about this a lot more than anyone else. OTOH, the good thing is that we do care, and I think we both want the Pats articles to be not merely the best Pats articles possible, but the best NFL-related articles on WP.
I think that most, though not all, of the decisions you've made are fine. That said, I don't think that "This is what I decided, so this is how it should/will be" is a valid argument, and I don't think you can convince me that it is. OTOH, I don't want to get into revert wars any more than you do.
So, how about this: during the offseason (i.e., after the Draft) we work out our disagreements on "mock pages" on our user spaces, and reach a true compromise (i.e., a format we can both live with going forward). And if there are any significant changes to be made in past articles for the sake of consistency, I'll take it upon myself to go back and make them. Samer (talk) 13:26, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Vandal
I see you blocked this guy about a week ago. Well, he's added video game characters to about five NFL roster templates so far. I think you should slap him with a longer one.►Chris NelsonHolla! 15:42, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
What's Up with the Edits to the Detroit Lions page?
You keep removing information about the dissatisfaction of the fans with the team's performance, and with the fact that Matt Millen (CEO and General Manager of the Detroit Lions) has been rewarded with a contract extension despite doing so poorly during his tenure. This information is presented in detail on Matt Millen's wikipedia page; isn't it important that an article about the Detroit Lions also include a mention of such information?
It seems as if you're trying to "shine up" the article for the benefit of the Detroit Lions organization.--69.14.183.129 (talk) 00:01, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Spygate penalty
FYI--the penalty was explicitly not for the Jets game alone, but rather for "the totality" of what the Pats had admitted to (i.e., taping since 2000). I really don't feel like hunting the references down, but if you look, you'll find them. Samer (talk) 04:43, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- That's not necessarily the complete statement. In any case, there are numerous references to Goodell/the NFL using the phrase "totality of conduct." Besides which, if the penalty was for the episode alone, why not further punishment when it "came to light" that the Pats had been taping back to 2000? Samer (talk) 14:06, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Another vandal
This guy keeps vandalizing Kalimba Edwards. Wanna handle it?►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:06, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
One more
This guy needs one too. All his edits to football player articles you see there consistent of putting incorrect teams in the infoboxes (i.e. Turley a Packer, McMahon a Falcon, Emmons a Dolphin, etc.). Guy's a retard.►Chris NelsonHolla! 00:40, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Check his edit history, he's continued at Darian Durant and Mike Minter.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:07, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

New multi-link stats template for external links sections
Since you edit NFL player articles, I wanted to point out a template I've made to add multiple links to a football player's External links section. The info is located here. I'm planning on adding this to future pages I edit and I think it'd be great if we all do the same, as it'd cut down on the space in the ELs section spent on various site links. Thanks.►Chris NelsonHolla! 07:13, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Chip Rosenbloom
- Yes, I don't think that he is a vice-chairperson. In fact, I'm not sure if that Stan Kroenke is one either. Yet, Chip is the majority owner of the Rams now. [1] --Pinkkeith (talk) 00:36, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- I was re-reading some of the news and found that Kroenke is still vice-chair, minority owner. [2] --Pinkkeith (talk) 00:36, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, there is no doubt in my mind that Rosenbloom is a chairman for the Rams, especially since the two articles I posted stated that he is voting as a representative of the Rams. There are also other teams listed at List of current National Football League staffs that are only shown as "owners" (not chairperson, CEO, etc.), so I don't know exactly what you are looking for. If anything Rosenbloom should be listed since he is the majority owner of the franchise. --Pinkkeith (talk) 01:28, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- There is this article [3] where he refers to himself as the "managing partner" (along with his sister and Kroenke). I believe that article did come out after he became the majority owner of the franchise. --Pinkkeith (talk) 01:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
