[edit] Hiding real URL
Why are you trying to hide the real url to your website in Shadowism with domains you dont own? --OriginalJunglist 19:09, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry dude I wanted it to look cool, the freeweb isn't even mine, lol. I tried taking credit for making it and the Shadowism freeweb owner got pissed :P PatPeter 19:19, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Inorganic chemistry
- Hi PatPeter. Merry Christmas! I noticed you recently tried to change the spelling of the article Inorganic chemistry to a capitalised version, Inorganic Chemistry. I reverted it because it is incorrect − chemistry is a common noun, not a proper noun. Therefore, it is spelled lowercase.
Hope this is OK.
Cheers Ben 00:07, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes BUT chemistry is part of a title and should thus be capitalized, unless a dogma of Wikipedia exists where titles should stay lowercase. PatPeter 19:33, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

- Please stop changing the talk page to a redirect. If a redirect is the right way, then the talk page should be moved to preserve the content. You are losing the content. Now you have done this, such a move can only be done by an administrator. Let us sort out the proper name for the article first and then we can get an administrator to help us. --Bduke 01:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- You have also messed up the history of the main page as well. Material should be moved, not copied. --Bduke 01:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

- Sorry, but a dogma of Wikipedia DOES say that everything except the first word stays lower case. See WP:MOS for more details. It's the same for section headings. Sometimes it takes a while to get used to things like this on Wikipedia. You will also see this if you check other pages like Organic chemistry, Physical chemistry, etc. Please can you move the content of the page back? That way the history isn't lost. Thanks! All the best, Walkerma 01:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Stop continually posting so I can post. PatPeter 01:18, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, I do not know why Wikipedia uses sentence style but I will leave the correction of the pages I have changed to admins and other vigilantes, I will not change it again, but I do hope that people would present their reasons before taking action into their own hands, like I thought I should use headline-style, siting my sources as every book encyclopedia. If you and Ben want to change my edits give reason why, and thank you for giving reason on your second post. PatPeter 01:26, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- I fixed those pages. PatPeter 01:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! Walkerma 19:45, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Walkerma, no problem, and Ben THANK YOU for saying Merry Christmas, I very much dislike when others say 'Happy Holidays.' PatPeter 22:04, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Userbox migration
Hi, I saw that you have doubts regaring the Wikipedia userbox migration. I understand that you wonder why the boxes may not stay in templatespace, so I'll give you some background information. Several months ago, a VERY heated discussion started whether userboxes should be allowed to stay or whether they should be deleted (e.g. as unecyclopedia, not NPOV, divisive and inflammatory, etc.). The two emerging factions, let's call them inclusionist and deletionists clashed and soon the entire thing escalated. Hundreds of userboxes were simply speedydeleted, and policies drafted to handle boxes in one or another way simply got stuck because half of the people agreed and half of the disagreed. In short, it was a gigantic mess. The migration idea was taken from the German wikipedia (this why once the project had been called "The German (userbox) solution), and compromised between the two factions, allowing the boxes to be removed from templatespace (which is governed by NPOV policies by the way) but allowed them to stay inside userspace (which in turn allows users to keep their userboxes) - suprisingly, the solution worked, both side accoplished part of their goals and lots of wikidrama came to an end. And this is why userboxes should be migrated. Because it is part of the compromise - we got the keep the boxes, but only in userspace. If you have further questions, just leave me a message. Best wishes. CharonX/talk 04:14, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've replied on my talkpage, though we can also continue on yours if you prefer that. I try to avoid discussion chains across talkpages, as they become hard to read them later on. Happy Editing! CharonX/talk 03:15, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Took" vs "Toke"
Regarding your edit summary: "Toke page out of Category:User templates".
Pages (and user templates) may indeed be intoxicating; still, they should be read, not smoked. -- Ben TALK/HIST 11:50, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah thanks for correcting me on the toke thing. Hggh ive been doing that since I was a kid.
[edit] Thanks!
Thanks for doing that thing you did with my userboxes, I appreciate it. Much obliged. --Lighthead 01:57, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
