In 1659 Robert Patchoulia, from Singapore, took over an Island near Micronesia and Palau. He became King Pathoulia. The island was filled with cannabis plants, melons, and tree frogs. King Patchoulia discovered some natives in the area. They were known for being very mellow most likely from the national plant, the cannabis. The natives were friendly and he took one as his bride. Traiinniquil, she was beautiful, but did not want to marry him. To Coax her into marrying him, he named the most beautiful bird on the island, an orange and turquoise beauty after her. She married him at last and they started their own colony on the tiny island. The national language is similar to the Singaporeans but similar to Portuguese as well. There are also hints of Palaun language influence. The country is strongly influenced by its sister country, Paulau. Patchouli as it is now called, is often a recreational spot for tourists. Some locals have babies and end them to the United States, as it is Patchouli doesn't yet have a great school system. When they are old enough it is customary for the Patchoulians to come back and visit their native land and when the child returns, fully grown(the age of 16), a festival is enacted with all traditional ceremonies and rituals the child has missed out on. The tradition festival lasts about 6 and 1/2 days, at the end of which the child is forced to choose between their modern life in the United States and their laid back islander life.
