It used to be rumored that Lord Plunket was very intimate with the Queen. And he is, extraordinarily for a non-member of the Royal Family, buried at Frogmore. Any information?
- Hmmm. It is odd indeed, for the Royal Burial Ground is generally reserved for members of the royal family. My personal feeling is that he was buried here because of his friendship with the Queen (the two were very close – some say lovers, but that probably isn't true). Otherwise, he could have been a huge help in some personal way to members of the royal family, who wished to honour him in death. There may be an official reason but I'm not aware of one. - I can find no evidence that he is buried there. I've looked at the plan for the RBG, and his name isn't mentioned. He may be buried in Windsor somewhere, but I very much doubt it's at the actual Royal Burial Ground. PeterSymonds | talk 22:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
