Talk:Pathology (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I disagree strongly with the (previous) definition section (which I have now changed).
Clinical diagnostic laboratory or medical diagnostic laboratory are the terms to which the previous introduction referred. Although the door in many hospitals say "Pathology," it is no way a definition of the term. One could easily interpret the sign to mean that there is lots of Pathology behind that door, both anatomic and behavioural (oh grow up -- that's a joke that Pathologists have heard a million times.)
The term pathology refers to the study of disease and is not strictly a laboratory-based endeavour. Psychological pathology, for example, is not studied in a clinical laboratory in the same fashion as are tissue slides.
Pathology is widely used in medicine in many ways besides referring to the diagnostic lab. Physadvoc 16:37, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Media section commented out
I commented out the plug for a "planned movie."
Most "planned movies" never get made. An encyclopedia can't document everyone's imagination, especially on disambiguation pages.
The section can be uncommented when the movie actually exists.
