Talk:Patent Reform Act of 2005
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Isn't it a bit premature to refer to this legislation as an "act", even if the text of the bill does so? So far as I know, this is not a slam-dunk just yet. Lamarr is up for reelection; if he isn't returned to the House this bill might take years to to pass or even be voted down. Not to be a semanticist about the act/bill distinction, but giving people the impression that these changes to U.S. patent law have already taken place or are inevitable is misleading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.228.113.56 (talk • contribs)
[edit] Need more info on the status of the Act
I agree, this article is helpful in describing the act, but it doesn't give a clear indication of where the act is in the process of legislation, ie what the reaction has been, what's been voted on, and when it is expected to become law.
