[edit] This Article Shouldn't Exist

My friend, just because you went to a school full of a whole bunch of people that are never going to achieve anything in their lives, and have since then had some minor success in fine tuning those motor skills of yours in order to toss a ball around, doesn't mean that your name deserves to grace the wikipedia pages in this pathetically self congratulatory piece of prose.

Besides, last time I checked there wasn't really a category for 'football players that no one cares about'

So yes, content wise: 'McCabe is played most effectively as a fullback but his ability to play as a winger or outside centre outlines his versatility.'

'He was also a track athletics star.'

Also, one very clear pointer 'McCabe was a standout at schoolboy level' - somehow I don't think anyone would know these kinds of details about someone who hasn't had a biography released about themselves detailing their schoolboy career. Unless, of course, the person who knows all of this stuff happens to be the very same person this article is praising, or one of their school chums, of course, in that case I think it's a rather biased pov.

[edit] Watch the personal attacks

Whoa! C'mon dude, what's your vendetta here? Comment on the content of the article, No personal attacks. No reason to disparage the author or subject, and violating Wikipedia: Civility can easily get you blocked. Chill. Tractorkingsfan 14:07, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry. Don't mean to get personal, so perhaps my suggestion was a little vehement. But it annoys me because this article smacks far too much of a self written vanity article about some unknown football player. Anyways, appologies, but my suggestion still stands.--Angolon It's cold out here, and there are wolves after me. 22:40, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

No big deal. I changed a few things about the article to make it seem less like a self-promotion (which I agree it was). See what you think. Tractorkingsfan 01:17, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Much better, thank you. --Angolon It's cold out here, and there are wolves after me. 12:35, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
