It would be a mistake to merge "Pat Fish" with the Jazz Butcher: (1) the latter was often used as the name of whole band, and (2) Pat Fish has performed and recorded in his own right with other bands, e.g., The Blue Aeroplanes, Sumosonic, and Wilson.

I've rewritten this page with the emphasis on everything Pat Fish has done outside the Jazz Butcher name. This has involved sacrificing the characterisation of the early Butcher sound, and the discussion of the meaning of "Southern Mark Smith", which, I would argue, should be reinstated on the "Jazz Butcher" entry. --Antisyzygy 11:02, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
