[edit] Matchmaking
Patti Stanger is a matchmaker and is featured on the show Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo. She is a 3rd generation of matchmaker and founded the Millionaire's Club in January of 2000.
She is the former Director of Marketing for Great Expectations (the oldest and largest dating service in the USA). Patti has stated that she is in fact Jewish, and can be seen on the show making reference to Hebrew words.
On March 5, 2008 TMZ.com reported that two females, "Cidney" and "Marcela", who were actively being "introduced" by Patti to her millionaire clients were not who they were purported to be. The former, who was described as "a wholesome Jewish girl with a Masters in Journalism" was also a Playboy model, (was in fact mentioned in the episode by Patti to her staff but somehow a lot of female watchers missed out on this little tidbit) and the latter apparently bore a striking resemblance (in other words not confirmed to any degree of credibility) to an alleged prostitute named "Victoria" who was being advertised on the website Miamicompanions.com and who would, for $300/hr ($350/hr in Tampa) provide "company" to interested men. Whether or not it is more expensive for a millionaire to rent Marcela (Victoria) from Miamicompanions.com for a dinner date followed by some companionship time rather than pay Patti to "match them up" is uncertain though Patti's "no sex in the beginning" policy would lead one to consider the alternative as a far more economical option.
