Patriots for Al Gore

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Patriots for Al Gore is a Federal PAC that sought the nomination for former Vice President Al Gore in 2004 through a letter writing campaign to superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention after attempting a write-in campaign in state primaries that allowed such write-ins. That effort had minimal success due to time constraints, and the subsequent nomination of John Kerry at the Democratic National Convention in July of 2004.

The PAC at its inception had the main goal of researching to find a constitutional remedy regarding Presidential elections in which the popular vote winner is not the electoral vote winner and the constitutional validity of the electoral vote. The PAC has ended that effort and is committed to advocating for social issues regarding the environment and civil liberties.
