He has joined Sydney FC for the 2007-08 A-League Season where he will play alongside fellow Brazilian Juninho Paulista. He has played for Esporte Clube Vitória (Brazil), Altamira (Mexico), Mogi Mirim Esporte Clube (Brazil), Grêmio Barueri (Brazil) and Nacional Atlético Clube (Brazil). It is believed that after Sydney FC signed Juninho Paulista, Sydney FC were inundated with DVDs from Brazil with interest to signing. In this selection was Patrick da Silva's, which caught the attention of Sydney FC, prompting further research from both Juninho Paulista and Sydney FC scouts.[1][2][3]
