Patrick Valéry is a French footballer born in Bastia who spent the majority of his playing career playing for AS Monaco, he also had spells with Toulouse FC and SC Bastia before being bought by Blackburn Rovers for £800,000. After an unsuccessful spell at Rovers he returned to France where he later retired in 2002.
