Patrick James "Paddy" Ryan (January 4, 1883 - February 13, 1964) was an Irish-American athlete who competed mainly in the throws.

Ryan grew up in County Tipperary, Ireland and emigrated to the U.S. He competed for the United States in the 1920 Summer Olympics held in Antwerp, Belgium in the hammer throw where he won the gold medal. He also competed in the 56 lb weight throw where he won the silver medal, the only time this event was held at Olympic level.
