Patrick Patterson (born March 14, 1989 in Washington, D.C.)[1], is an American basketball player for the University of Kentucky. He is a 6'8", 232 lbs. McDonald's All-American power forward. He grew up in Huntington, West Virginia[2] and helped lead Huntington High School to three-straight state championships, the last one with help from OJ Mayo. He picked Kentucky over Duke and Florida in a highly publicized recruiting battle.[3].

February 29th, 2008: Patrick Patterson missed the remainder of the 2007/2008 season with a stress fracture in his foot. Patterson also claimed he planned on staying at UK rather than jumping to the NBA Draft

During the 2007-2008 Season, Patterson averaged 16.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, while shooting 57% from the field.
