Patrick McDouall-Crichton, 6th Earl of Dumfries

Patrick McDouall-Crichton, 6th Earl of Dumfries (15 October 17267 April 1803) married Margaret Crauford on 12 September 1771 and they had one child:

  • The Lady Elizabeth Penelope McDouall-Crichton (d. 25 July 1797)

In 1768 he inherited the Earldom of Dumfries from his maternal uncle, and on his death was succeeded by his grandson, John, Lord Mount Stuart, grandson of the 1st Marquess of Bute and later 2nd Marquess of Bute.
