Patrick Hannan is a Welsh political journalist, author and television and radio presenter.
He was born and raised in Aberaman, near Aberdare in South Wales. Educated at Cowbridge Grammar School (where Anthony Hopkins was a fellow pupil), Hannan joined the BBC and became presenter of the daily regional news programme Wales Today during the 1960s. For thirteen years he was the BBC's political correspondent in Wales. He has produced documentary programmes for BBC2, BBC Wales and HTV. He writes for the Western Mail and has a weekly series on BBC Radio Wales.
