[edit] Biography

Patricia Blair was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Dallas. She became a teenage model, represented by the Conover Agency. While acting in summer stock, Warner Bros. discovered her and she began acting in films under the names Patricia Blake and Pat Blake. In the late 1950s she appeared as the second female lead in several films for Warner Bros. and later for MGM. In 1958, she replaced actress Joan Taylor in a semi-regular role as Lou Mallory, Chuck Connors love interest on The Rifleman. She also made guest TV appearances on The Bob Cummings Show, The Virginian, Perry Mason and Bonanza, among others. She considered moving to New York in 1964 when screenwriter Gordon Chase helped her get a role in the series Daniel Boone. She played wife Rebecca Boone, opposite Fess Parker for six seasons. After the show ended in 1970, she appeared in a few minor films and TV spots. Her last appearance on film was as the Fashion Narrator in the 1979 hit motion picture The Electric Horseman. In later years she produced trade shows in New York and New Jersey.
