Patigrabana was a town in Parthia under Hystaspes (Persian satrap of Parthia) that played a role in history as a place of battle with Phraortes, rebel king of Medes, that happened around 520 BC. Phraortes was defeated and retired to Rhagae (old Persian Raga) and was also defeated here. Rebellion was suppressed.
