Pathiriyad is a census town in Kannur district in the Indian state of Kerala.

As of 2001 India census[1], Pathiriyad had a population of 16,608. Males constitute 48% of the population and females 52%. Pathiriyad has an average literacy rate of 85%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 87%, and female literacy is 83%. In Pathiriyad, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
