Pathfinder March
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pathfinder March is an annual 46-mile (74 kilometre) long-distance walk in Cambridgeshire, England. The walk, which typically draws between three- and five-hundred participants, commemorates the role of the Royal Air Force Pathfinder Force in the Second World War.
The event, beginning and ending at the Royal Air Force Base at Wyton, is scheduled for the closest Saturday to Mid-Summers Day. Due to the strenuous nature of this event, and its proximity to the middle of summer many do not complete the event.
The route, minus the beginning and end inside RAF Wyton is signposted and open all year.
