Paterson is a railway station at Paterson on the North Coast Line branch of CityRail's Hunter Line in New South Wales, Australia. Diesel railcars travelling between Newcastle and the town of Dungog to the northwest serve the station. The town of Paterson is located approximately 55km northwest of Newcastle, a port that is approximately 200km north of Sydney.
There is a crossing loop of in excess of 1800m long.
