Pat McLellan

Pat McLellan was born in 1982. He has been writing online since 2002. His column is notable for it’s random humor and witty references, as well as the ability to appeal to wide variety of readers. McLellan aims for humor in his columns, which have ranged from sports to shopping.

McLellan started out as an amateur sports handicapper, and has evolved into a writer of many facets. He has always been an avid sports fan and frequently incorporates his hometown, Houston and its teams in his columns. McLellan is also openly against the entire city of Dallas, and especially hates the San Antonio Spurs.

One of his most popular writing styles is the mock interview, which he often uses in his work. Some of the most widely read mock interviews include, an interview with Yeah-Yeah from The Sandlot, and a session with Dr. Phil. McLellan is constantly surprising readers with off the wall topics such as, Gambling Odds for Bar Hook-ups (which McLellan claims, is impossible after creating a formula). He also provided a roller coaster of emotions in his running blog during the Houston Astros 2005 World Series run.

McLellan also frequently writes about his personal life, and crazy antics that he and his friends get into. He also writes about movies, music, and other areas of pop culture, and claims he is starting an advice column. One of his favorite things, and most popular among readers, are his movie references and movie quotes, which he uses often. His favorite movie to quote is, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (which he claims is the greatest movie ever made). Other topics he often writes about are, reality television shows, his various fantasy sports teams, the homeless, and terrorists.

In February of 2002, McLellan created his own website, β€œSports Rants.” He has since renamed it to, β€œPat McLellan=Humor. His columns have been published on many different popular comedy websites, and he has contributed to countless others. He is currently a contributor to Barstool Magazine, and is writing his first novel entitled, "Is This Rash Curable?."
