Pat Irwin is an American rock musician and film composer.

Irwin moved around the United States a lot as a child because his father was in the mining industry.[1] He graduated from Grinnell College in 1977.[1] Irwin was a member of early 1980s rock and roll combo The Raybeats, playing organ, guitar and saxophone.[2] Since 1989 he has toured extensively with New Wave rock band The B-52's, playing keyboards and guitar.[3] His relationship with the band began when they borrowed Irwin's amplifier for their first gig in New York in 1978.[3]
Irwin began to write film scores in the 1990s. His film and television work includes animated series Rocko's Modern Life and Pepper Ann, 1999 comedy film But I'm a Cheerleader and comedy series Class of 3000.
