Pat Hunt

Thomas de Vere (Pat) Hunt (born 1931) was a New Zealand politician of the National Party.

In 1978 Hunt replaced Gavin Downie as the National candidate for Pakuranga, in a controversial challenge to a sitting MP.

Hunt represented the Pakuranga electorate in Parliament from 1978 to 1984, when he was defeated by Neil Morrison of the Social Credit Party, who had come second to Hunt in the 1981 election.

During the 1984 election, Hunt coined the term "Crimpoline Suit and Skoda Brigade" for Social Credit.
