Pat Garner (born March 16, 1987) is an Australian rules footballer who currently plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League.
Pat was recruited in the second round of the 2004 AFL draft, at draft pick number 27 overall, by the Brisbane Lions from Western Magpies AFC.
He is currently seen as a developing key-position player, who can play in forward or in defence. In the 2005 season, he played 19 games in the QAFL, and was looking for senior selection in 2006. [1] However, He missed the entire 2006 season after suffering a severe knee injury in the final pre-season match, requiring a knee reconstruction and approximately 12 months out of the game.
A second knee injury and subsequent second reconstruction resulted in Garner being out of commission for the 2007 season. Garner was delisted by the Brisbane Lions and drafted onto the club's rookie list.
Garner wears the number 27 jumper, previously worn by triple premiership ruckman Clark Keating.
