Image:Pathfinders.jpeg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

While this photograph is identified as pathfinders these men were actually not pathfinders but rather members of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. More precisely, these are two of what are known as the Filthy Thirteen, a group of 506th PIR soldiers who cut their hair and painted their face with camouflage paint in patterns made famous by American Indian portrayals in Hollywood films.
