Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. Khoikhoi 01:40, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

That's not what I did. If you follow my history, I added an image only. Neither did I revert cause that's not what I do on Wikipedia. --- Pashtun

[edit] link to British

Hello, when you want to link to the article about something British, please do not link to British, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as United Kingdom or Great Britain by writing out [[United Kingdom|British]] or [[Great Britain|British]]. [edit] Copyedits to Afghanistan

I see you're doing some copyediting on the Afghanistan page. It is in serious need. Thanks for taking the time to do detail work. KP Botany 19:11, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tag insertion

Dear brother, I noticed that you added the "total disputed" tag in the article of Kabul, and that you added the Fact or Citation Tag after each sentence I wrote. Please be more patient to welcome others' edits.

At first, you could ask me your question in the discussion. Secondly, you put tags after sentences like: they built defensive wall around the Kabul. Today this defensive wall is considered as a historical site. If you have been once to the city of Kabul, I bet you have seen those walls on the mountains. For providing the sources, there's no problem. I will provide you source for each sentence.

Just I wanted to remind you to be more gentle in accepting one's edits, and to continue the copy editing with for the Afghanistan related topics in its best way. I am removing the "total disputed" tag from the Kabul article, and reducing the number of Fact tags after my each sentence. We will discuss all the points in the discussion page.

Ariana310 01:03, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorry but that's not how things work. I will report you if you keep removing the tags. The tags will stay until you find reliable sources. Why would you place complicated information in the article without verifying it first. Besides, you are not the only person viewing Kabul's article. Those tags are put by me so maybe other editors or viewers might have information on the disputed statements. And by the way, I walked on the walls in Kabul mountains in the past. It's sort of like the Great Wall if China but much shorter. I am aware about the wall. The wall is not what I'm disputing. Pashtun Nov. 28, 2006

[edit] Source

Here's what written in the second source regarding Khorasan, that I added in the page of Afghanistan: ...while towards the south it embraced Kunduz, Balkh, and, at the outset, Khorasán—a country which, at that time, spread eastward to beyond Herat and Ghazni, and southward to Mekrán. Ariana310 21:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

That's nice! But what about the dates? Why you don't include the dates? in which specific time period was that? From what year to what year was this? Because you've indicated that from Middle ages to 18th century, the country was called Khorasan, or it was part of Khorsana. That's a long period of time period, don't you think? Your statement also clearly means that the entire present-day Afghanistan was called Khorasan, or was part of Khorasan. Make it clear so that I understand what you are trying to say. Don't try to be slick with me. Pashtun Nov. 30, 2006

Why do you try to mix up the significations when you fail to respond? The Medieval or Middle ages start from 6th century up to 16th. During this interval of time, the region was known as Khorasan. Yes, it is a long time, that's why it deserves to be mentioned.

This source is Tarikh-e Rashidi, A History of the Moghuls, written by Mirza Haidar. Let me copy the original piece of text in its preface about its date: The First Part covers the entire period with which the Author deals— viz., from about 1321 to 1547—in the form of a brief Epitome. The Second Part takes up the history again at about the year 1484, and recounts in detail to 1546. This Part contains the life and adventures of the Author. But the translation to English was done 1895.

So its descriptions are from 14th and 16th century. Moreover, it clearly says that the regions lying between Herat and Ghazni (included) as well as Balkh and Kunduz were called as cities of Khorasan. And your comments in editing the article of Afghanistan is your own intention to reflect it the other way. Ariana310 00:42, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, please add some piece of information about the Pashto poetry in the Culture section of Afghanistan's article. I noticed that there's no mentioning of the poetries of Khushal Khan Khatak, Rahman Baba, and others. I thought you might have more knowledge about Pashto poetry than I do.Ariana310 00:53, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing

I would like to remind you that please do not try to insert your POVs in the article, without citing reliable sources, or deleting another user's edits without any solid reason, or simply bringing illogical reasons for reverting a user's edits.

We should all try to be as much neutral as we can while editing. If such type of Editing war continue, I will be obliged to report it to the Admins. Thank you Ariana310 00:53, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Afghanistan

Please remember to mark your edits as minor when (and only when) they genuinely are minor edits (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one (and vice versa) is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'. Thanks! You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future.

The duration of the block is 24 hours. Here are the reverts in question. Alex Bakharev 22:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About Afghanistan article

Just want to say that you've done a good job editing the article on Afghanistan, but you should always remember not to revert pages 3 times because it's a violation. Try to be more relaxed about everything and I support your work. Cheers! and come back again soon. --Italisa 23:38, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
