[edit] Personal

I live in Battle Ground, Washington.

I pastored a Church until I developed small fiber peripheral neuropathy, causing severe insensitivity to heat and cold, tingling, Muscle weakness, Cramps, pain, and other symptoms. In my case there is no known cause (idiopathic). Currently diagnosis is difficult and there is no known cure. Only the symptoms can be treated.

I married my wife Linda in 1987.

[edit] Hobbies

My hobbies are Geocaching and bread baking. When I have time I like to read science fiction. My favorite fiction book is The Past Through Tomorrow by Robert A. Heinlein. My favorite series of books are the mystery series books Black Widowers by Isaac Asimov.

[edit] Employment

I do medical coding and have worked at the Vancouver Washington VA Hospital for over 20 years. I am a certified as a Certified Coding Specialist (Physician Based) (CCS-P) through AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association).

[edit] Education

I graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1974 and Westmar College in 1978.

I completed the AHIMA independent study course in Coding in 2001.
