[edit] Redundancy
Seems like there are many solar energy pages with duplicate or significantly overlapping purposes. Any thoughts on optimizing them?

- Another problem is that the article title is not a noun. Something like Passive solar system or Passive solar technology would be better. ✤ JonHarder talk 02:53, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

- I think Passive Solar Technology (or technologies) seems appropriate. With a link from passive solar and a spiele at the start stating why this article isn't the same as Passive solar building design, we might actually start to make some sense of these articles Miscreant 23:32, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

- I looked at all of the articles that link to this one to see what noun phrases they typically use when referring to "passive solar". This is a quick count:
-
-
-
-
- 11 Passive solar design
- 7+ Passive solar heating/cooling
- 5 Passive solar technique
- 4 Passive solar system
- 3 Passive solar technology
- 3 Passive solar energy
- 1 Passive solar project
- 1 Passive solar application
- 1 Passive solar strategy
- 1 Passive solar architecture
- 1 Passive solar practice

- This gives some idea of how it is used. "Heating/cooling" isn't workable; "technology" is low-middle; "design" seems to be the most predominant use, but this article isn't about designs. "Technique", "system" or "technology" seem to be the best choices with respect to what the other articles are wanting. ✤ JonHarder talk 02:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
