Passing Time in the Loo is the name of a book series published by Scarab Book Ltd. The series includes the massive 600-page Compact Classics Volume 1 compendium of knowledge, published in 1999, as well as the smaller Passing Time in the Loo - Shakespeare, published in 2005. The books are written in a conducive way to help 'pass time in the loo', hence the title.
[edit] Passing Time in the Loo Volume 1
This 606-page bestselling compendium of knowledge provides bite-size excerpts of noted readings in classic and modern literature, history, personal effectiveness, and the best in business and leadership – plus massive sections of "Quotes and Anecdotes," "Word Power," "Trivia to Learn By" and "Expanding Knowledge." Despite the Britishism title, the book is a clear adaptation of the Great American Bathroom Book, boasting American-English ("honor", "color" etc.) and referring to American Football as simply "Football" and referring to Football (as in the British definition, Actual Football) as "Soccer."
[edit] Passing Time in the Loo - Shakespeare
Passing Time in the Loo - Shakespeare contains summaries of 22 of the playwright's most famous comedies, tragedies, and historical works; 11 of them borrowed from the international bestseller compendium Passing Time in the Loo Vol. 1.
