"Passengers" is a science fiction short story by Robert Silverberg. It was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Short Story 1970, and won the Nebula Award for Best Short Story in 1969.

All Earth is subject to the will of the "Riders"— intangible beings who randomly usurp human bodies for a few days at a time.. On man fights against the pervasive pessimism and tried to form a relationship.
