Passeig de Gràcia (Barcelona Metro)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Passeig de Gràcia is one the largest and busiest stations in the Barcelona Metro network. It is located in the prestigious Passeig de Gràcia, an avenue in the Eixample in central Barcelona. The station is served by TMB lines 2, 3, and 4 and is also connected with the RENFE commuter and regional train station of the same name, underground as well. It was opened in 1924 as part of the first metro line of Barcelona, now known as L3. It became part of L4 in 1973, with the L2 platforms being the latest additions to the station, in 1995. One of the most remarkable features of the station is the infamously long and low-ceiled corridor interconnecting L3 with the other lines.
