Pashan

Pashan is a fast-developing suburb of Pune, India. It was formerly known as Jijau Nagar, and was developed by the mother of the Marathi King Shivaji. An old temple dedicated to Shiva is located here.
Important government organizations like the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), Explosive Research and Development Laboratory (ERDL), are located at Pashan.
As it is near the Mumbai-Banglore highway and has many amenities, many people are making their homes in Pashan. One of Pashan's attractions is Pashan Lake; the area has been developed into a bird sanctuary.
This area is now home to many luxury apartments and many more being constructed.
