AFD

AfD nomination of Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal

Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Jamiatul Ulama Transvaal during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Ardenn 07:22, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

It's not my job to establish the article's notability, it's yours. WP:V. Ardenn 07:43, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
It should be noted that the steps laid out in Wikipedia:Guide to deletion should be followed before a nomination is made. Park3r 18:25, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Child Sponsorship

Thank you for showing the article a little love. Unfortunately, this article is still nothing more than a dictdef. If this is the best that can become of this article I would suggest tranwiki to Wiktionary and delete from Wikipedia. James084 14:20, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for tagging the article, and bringing it to my attention. I think that we should let the stub develop for now. I don't know much about the topic, but I think that the article could become useful.Park3r 15:27, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Unblock

Sorry the IP address has been blocked as an open proxy being used by vandals and viagra spammers, we don't unblock open proxies. --pgk(talk) 12:03, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

This IP Address belongs to Internet Solutions [1]. They provide backbone connectivity to lots of organizations and ISPs in South Africa. As such this block will probably exclude hundreds (or thousands?) of internet users in South Africa from editing, even if logged in. It needs to be seriously reconsidered. People who use 168.209.98.35 have no control over the cache/proxy that their traffic is routed through. Park3r 17:54, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Lohana Copy and Paste

You cannot copy and paste an article from another website in Wikipedia. This clear copyright violation. Memon article is About.com is same as your article. Can you please clarify this issue. Siddiqui 03:09, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

It's not "my" article as I didn't contribute much besides the Wikify tag. Also, the About.com article is apparently a clone of Wikipedia, so I doubt it can be used as evidence of a copyright violation on it own.Park3r 08:40, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

My Views on Talk:Bantva

I agree with you and am sorry for the imotional outburst. As an after-thought I am going to apologize on the talk page of Bantva. Thanks for the frank suggestion.--Vikas Kumar Ojha 15:43, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Battle of Jenin

I appreciate your change on the "Jenin Massacre" artilce, it seemed fair enough... altough, i do have to debate with you on the usage of the word "baseless" which you have removed from the article... there'd been many allegations made by pro-palestinians based on false rumors and alike, and this was no different.. it is my opinion that the word baseless should be admitted into the article on the mentioning of the "hidden mass graves"... waiting your reply. Jaakobou 15:04, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi Park3r,
Would you care to share your thoughts on the recent edits of this article on its talk page? Aside from the personal attacks by this Jaakobou person, I contend that one cannot state one side's narrative as fact. Calling it a "counterterrorist" action matter-of-factly is not neutral in my view; Palestinians never saw it like that. I thought my edits are a good compromise. Thanks. Ismail Ayob

Id also appreciate it if the section was not so one POV. There were also many website and newspaper articles countering the allegations and also go back to those articles, fraud was never alleged in the application. Id hate for wikipedia to become just one more pov. suggest alternatives if you please. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zayd (talkcontribs) 23:43, 2 February 2007 (UTC).

Salt Pan

I heartily endorse your proposal to merge Salt pan (evaporation) with other articles. I'm unfamiliar with the process, or I'd do so immediately. Might you be able to do it? I see no reason to wait; it's an obviously correct move. Unschool 15:03, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Ismail Ayob

You choose to keep on including defamatory newspaper articles instead of focussing on the facts of the dispute, I shall constantly remove these defamatory allegations and may even consider taking it up with Wikipedia itself. May I also ask why you choose to remain anonymous, can you not stand by your conviction. It is not heroic to remain anonymous, rather it is a sign of cowardice and megolamaniac personality, bordering on insanity. I will include an article provided you stop placing the defamatory allegations in the Ismail Ayob article. The answering affidavit of Ismail Ayob, supported by corroborating original documents, many signed by Nelson Mandela himself, so totally demolished the case of Nelson Mandela that he has not been able to reply for over 20 months (instead of the 2 weeks which is allowed in terms of High Court rules) Nelson Mandela has also chosen not to set the matter down for hearing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zayd (talkcontribs) 19:36, 4 February 2007 (UTC).

Ismail Ayob

You have made a personal attack on me. Read what I had initially said to you about the article, and if wikipedia is to truly maintain its standards, it cannot rely solely on newspaper reports and points of view. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zayd (talkcontribs) 21:34, 4 February 2007 (UTC).

Ali Akbar ibn Hussain

I shall assist you until he stops. I have added Ali Akbar ibn Hussain to my watchlist. Regards, KazakhPol 19:50, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Pallywood

Following the recent AfD discussion on Pallywood, I've made some changes to the article to address your concerns about original research and neologisms. Please feel free to comment at Talk:Pallywood. -- ChrisO 11:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
