Add content to the Encrypting File System page for the following "Common misunderstandings about EFS":
- EFS can always be compromised by brute-forcing the LM or NTLM password hash of the user.[citation needed]
- EFS can always be compromised if you can logon as Administrator.[citation needed]
- EFS is always susceptible to rainbow table attacks and other vulnerabilities related to the LM hash.[citation needed]
- EFS encrypted files can be recovered by resetting the user's password.[citation needed]
- EFS encrypted files can be recovered by simply creating a username and password that match the original user.[citation needed]
- EFS by default uses DES encryption of its files.[citation needed]
- EFS greatly decreases performance when large files are decrypted.[citation needed]
