Hi, my name is Nate, I'm 23 and currently live in Columbus, Ohio. I served 3 years and 7 months in the US Army, as an intelligence analyst, including one tour in Iraq. I was medically discharged 5 months early because I broke my back from a rough parachute landing. I am now attending The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!).

If you're curious as to the origin of my username, in my 8th grade English class (lo so many years ago), my teacher gave us a test, and reminded us to put our names on the top, and that if we did not know our names, to ask him what to put. I, being the smart-ass that I am, of course raised my hand and told him I didn't know my name. He replied "put down 'parsec boy'", which I did. I liked it, and have used it for various usernames since then.

My interests include history and other social sciences, military history and geography in particular. I've created/contribute to several articles about units stationed at Fort Bragg. I've become interested in the "Kaiserliche Marine", and have created or substantially enlarged dozens of articles related ships of the WWI Germany Navy. I'm a member of the WikiProject:Ships and Wikiproject:Military History, along with the Maritime warfare task force.

Many users feel that vandalism is one of the biggest problems on Wikipedia, but in my opinion, it's pretty easy to fix quickly. My biggest problem with Wikipedia is the ultranationalism that runs rampant here. People need to take a step back, realize that the history they learned in high school is at best 50% of the truth, and accept that "country x" isn't as great and noble as they were indoctrinated to believe. And by no means am I excluding the US and its education system, which I went through for my whole formal education experience. It's my explanation for conservatives in America ;)

• I've been vandalized dozens of time, mostly by Labyrinth13 and his numerous sock IPs. The first was this one, by an obvious sock of User:LtWinters. Thanks to Wbfergus for reverting it. And a second time by an IP sock of the aforementioned permanently banned user, Labyrinth13. Got that one myself. Labyrinth was apparently bored, because he got me again, this time reverted by The undertow. LtWinters apparently has nothing better to do, because his sock vandalized my page again. Cheers to Eurocopter tigre for reverting it. Someone we apparently know and love vandalized my user page, which I promptly reverted. Labyrinth apparently can't move on, and feels the need to vandalize my user page from time to time. He vandalized my page 7 times on the 16th of August, reverted by John254, Elenseel, ChipChamp, and Daniel Case. Thanks to those users. Labyrinth apparently thinks it's funny to call people transgendered, because he labeled myself and several other editors as such. Thanks to Rschen7754 and Moonriddengirl for reverting my page.

• This is sort of interesting. My username and a post I made at Talk:Liancourt Rocks appeared in a Korean webpage.

• I've got this impostor. Let's see...is it Jetwave Dave? Or perhaps Labyrinth13? I just got this impostor as well, but he was already indefinitely blocked. Someone needs to get a life.
