Pollinator: parthenocarpic is an adjective. I think this article should be moved to parthenocarpy, the noun (as your definition more or less indicates). Any objections? - Marshman 17:34, 10 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Pollinator 20:09, 10 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Should watermelons be added to the list? Or are the commercial "seedless watermelons" not technically parthenocarpic ?

The following sentence needs a reference or some examples: "Plants moved from one area of the world to another may not always be accompanied by their pollinating partner and the lack of pollinators has spurred human cultivation of parthenocarpic varieties." A lot of parthenocarpic cultivars require no pollination to start with so the statement may not be accurate. Plantguy 22:16, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
