Talk:Parliamentary representation from Bedfordshire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm not sure how to report an error.
The page as it stands shows the abolition of South Bedfordshire in 1983, and the number of constituencies reducing by 1 from 5 to 4 - this is incorrect. Bedfordshire retained 5 constituencies throughout the period 1983-1997. The missing constituency is the South Beds or South-West Beds seat - whichever it was named at that time. Otherwise the page is good.
I was born in Bedford and was invited to seek the Labour Nomination in South Beds in the mid 1970s...
Thanks.

- Thanks for the input. I see that the Bedfordshire constituencies from 1983 are Mid, North and South West, with the two Luton seats - North Luton and Luton South. I see I got it right in the detailed table, but missed one of the seats in the graph and summary tables. I therefore agree there were 5 Bedfordshire seats and I am grateful for the correction. --Gary J 12:53, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
