The majority of the initial text was moved from LeonardG's entries about the Parkfield earthquake in the actual Parkfield, California article. However, I'm not that happy with the info here, as there is a lot of interpretation and analysis. Being an encyclopedia, we need to just stick with the straight facts. Some parts of this text is incorrect as well. (e.g. The Fort Tejon earthquake was centered at Parkfield, not Coalinga). These will need to be corrected. I also believe the amount of slip in this event is wrong. Will verify this in the next few days. Anyway, questions or comments, let's discuss it here.
