[edit] Ann Nesby
Relation to Ann Nesby: granddaughter, daughter, or niece? Have seen all three on the Internet. Which is it, and what is the definitive cite?
I've seen both granddaughter and niece as well. I can't remember what they said on the episode, but it seems like the sources linked to on parisbennett.org say granddaughter, so I guess it should stay unless someone proves otherwise. BMetts 20:26, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

- http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/news/local/13873448.htm?source=rss&channel=twincities_local (This is a link to an article on Paris and her musical lineage). If you look on her American Idol contestant page, you will see that she states being trained by her mother (who was also in Sounds of Blackness) and her grandmother, Ann Nesby. [edit] Revert article
The article will be revert if she'll be in the finals or she'll also be eliminated on her own.
I think it should be reverted now, since she will most likely be in the finals (and heavily favored to be in the top 3).
- Likely, I enjoy her performances a hell of a lot too, but let's wait, lest we just display our biases towards our favorites in who we choose to cover. Postdlf 02:11, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm going to be dumb enough and suggest the same thing. Wait a minute...she came fifth?? Drdr1989 03:11, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Performances on the show all redone with judges' detailed comments!
- Hmmm...Anyone agree we should condense the judges' comments? Michael 19:36, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I put one of those hidden bars for the performances... how's that?
- Okay. Michael 01:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article rewritten
I rewrote the article completely, with a more detailed biography of her early life, and more details on what she is doing Post-Idol. But there is still some work to be done:
- Find out more chart positions of Midnight Train To Georgia. The #52 on the Pop 100 was all I could find, as Billboard does not have chart archives.
- Upload another picture. I think that one of the images on the 306ent.com website, or the one on this could be classified as fair use, as they have been released for the promotion of her single and album. I am terrified of the fair use jargon, so if you can find a way to upload it, please do!
- Perhaps the AI performances should be condensed. In the beginning, that section was twice the size it is now. Realizing that, I deleted most of the unnecessary information. But if it should be even shorter, then please make it so.
- The singles section is a little messed up, with the background color of Single name column being used for the year column and vice versa.
- Can articles be made for the album (Princess P) and single (Dreamin)?
You can add more things to the todo list if you wish, and please help in this project! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Munaim (talk • contribs) 13:43, 25 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Failed GA
This fails to meet GA criteria for these reasons: lead is way too short and does not summarize the article, things like her name don't need a footnote, prose needs work--such as we don't need multiple paragraphs starting with "On (date), the...", formatting of refs needs major surgery and standardization, image needs a fair use rationale and why is there a guy in it so prominently?, footnotes should normally come after punctuation, one external link is just a number, etc and so on.Rlevse 01:40, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Princess P opinion
The mention of the album being 'not very good' and suffering 'measly' sales seems a little biased. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.203.2.61 (talk) 00:18, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Princess p cover.jpg
Image:Princess p cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:39, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
