Wasn't Jiel-Laval riding solid rubber tires in 1891? AHands 17:25, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
There are actually (since the mid 70s) two PBPs... There is the one we all know and love and then there is the Audax form that is run every 5 years.
The french wiki site has PBP which has a Voir aussi section listing a PBP-Randonneuring and a PBP-AUDAX to distinguish between the two forms...
This (english) site does not discuss the AUDAX section. Prestonjb 06:44, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
