[edit] Hot springs
Apparently a couple of years ago, someone on Whitehills road, the road linking Dairy Flat and Wainui, cut through a underground stream which happened to be heated geothermally.
They blocked off the stream for their own use, and as a result, the Parakai Hot Springs ran out of hot water. Somehow the hot pool owners in Parakai managed to contact the people responsible and they agreed to unblock the line.
Parakai now has its hot water back. --203.118.135.21 13:17, 4 August 2006 (UTC) (User:Nzhamstar)
