[edit] Is this an encyclopedia?

Here's a choice quote:

  • This road is also expected to be one of the few roads open to automobiles during the 2007 summer tourist season, following tremendous damage to the infrastructure in the park during the "Pineapple Express" storm on November 6, 2006.[5]

Is it really appropriate for an encyclopedia to make predictions about the past? Might it be a good idea for someone with intimate knowledge of which roads are and aren't open currently ... and to update articles to reflect changes in reality? —Preceding unsigned comment added by ForrestCroce (talkcontribs) 06:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing this out. I removed the sentence because it was incorrect even when the tense was corrected. -- PatLeahy (talk) 13:40, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
